Like any convention, Åcon also has a Code of Conduct. It essentially boils down to “Be Excellent to Each Other”, but in more detail includes:
You need to have a place to stay during the convention. It doesn’t have to be at Adlon, but it must be indoors.
No racist/sexist comments/jokes!
Please do not touch other people without their explicit permission – the same goes for the members’ pets. It’s good to be friendly, but please don’t be hands-on friendly!
And if someone otherwise indicates that they would like to be left alone, you need to respect that.
No drinking of your own booze in the convention area.
If you’re having room parties, please be considerate of the people trying to sleep in the other rooms.
The con committee reserves the right to revoke any memberships from members acting like jerks (and breaking the code of conduct) and to ban them from future Åcons.
Please, wear your badge in the program room and if there are issues, contact any concom member. (They are ones that look like they haven’t been sleeping for weeks!)
